Every tattoo starts the same way: with an idea you can’t stop thinking about. Like Tattoo exists to help you turn that idea into ink you will still be proud of years from now.
What We Do
Like Tattoo is an independent online publication about tattoo ideas, with a special focus on tattoos for men. We publish design inspiration organized by placement, style and theme, along with the practical side most galleries skip:
- Meaning: what popular symbols stand for, and where they come from;
- Placement: how a design fits the arm, chest, back or hand, and how visible it will be;
- Pain and healing: what to expect in the chair and in the weeks after;
- Aging: which designs hold up over time, and which tend to blur or fade;
- Working with an artist: how to bring references, talk about price and avoid common mistakes.
Why We Started
Most tattoo inspiration online is an endless scroll of photos with no context. You see a great piece, but you don’t know how it was placed, how much it hurt or how it will look in ten years. We wanted a place that gives you the ideas and the honest information behind them, so you walk into the studio knowing what you want.
Our Approach
- Ideas first, but never only pictures. Every list explains why a design works and who it suits.
- Respect for artists. We credit tattoo artists whenever possible and encourage readers to use designs as inspiration, not as something to copy exactly.
- Honest, practical advice. We tell you when a placement hurts, when a trend may not age well and when you should talk to a professional.
- Kept up to date. Tattoo styles change, and we review and update our articles regularly.
