2. How We Create Content
Our articles are planned around the questions readers actually ask about tattoos: what to get, where to place it, what it means, how much it hurts and how it will age. For each article we:
- Research tattoo styles, placements and symbolism using reputable sources, artist portfolios and published references;
- Check practical information, such as pain, healing and aftercare, against reliable sources, including dermatology and public health guidance when the topic involves health;
- Explain the reasoning behind each idea instead of listing pictures without context;
- Review the article for accuracy, clarity and tone before publishing.
3. Use of Artificial Intelligence
We use AI tools to assist with parts of our work, such as research, organizing information and preparing drafts. AI does not publish anything on its own. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a person before it goes live, and we are responsible for everything we publish. When an image on the Site is created with AI, it is identified as such.
4. Images and Credits
Tattoo photos on the Site are original, licensed, used with permission or created for illustration. When we feature the work of a tattoo artist, we credit the artist whenever possible. If you are an artist and want your work credited differently or removed, email us and we will respond promptly.
5. How We Make Money
Like Tattoo is free to read and is funded mainly by advertising.
- Display ads: we use Google AdSense. Ads are selected automatically by Google and its partners, based in part on cookies, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We do not choose individual ads, and an ad on the Site is not an endorsement.
- Affiliate links: some articles may include affiliate links, for example to aftercare products. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Articles with affiliate links say so clearly.
- Sponsored content: we do not currently publish sponsored content. If we ever do, it will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored”.
6. Editorial Independence
Advertisers and partners have no influence over what we write, which designs we feature or what we recommend. We do not accept payment to feature a studio, artist or product in our editorial content, and ads are always visually separate from articles.

We try hard to get things right, but mistakes happen.
